TOUR DESCRIPTION
During this half-day Chiang Mai tour, four of the city’s most important temples will be visited. Your temple tour will allow you to appreciate the architectural diversity which is present in the region of Chiang Mai; you will visit temples that have the Thai, Lanna, Mon, Burmese and Sri Lankan styles. This is a highly recommended tour if you have an interest in architecture, history and temples in general. You will also get to visit a genuine Chiang Mai market in which you will be able to shop for local and Thai specialities.
The temples in this tour include:
Wat Phra Singh – A great example of the classic Lanna or Northern Thai temple architectural style.
Wat Chiang Man - The oldest temple in Chiang Mai. Opened in 1296, this temple features the traditional Northern Thai architecture style.
Wat Chedi Luang - Famous for its large but earthquake damaged stupa, which once boasted being the tallest structure in the city.
Wat Suan Dok – Founded by the Lanna King Kue Na in 1373, it is situated among whitewashed stupas also tombs of some members of Thai Royal families. It also enjoys the “The flower garden temple” moniker.

A Tourist Authority of Thailand licensed and English speaking guide will be provided. We provide separate drivers and you guide will not be driving the vehicle.
This is a Half day tour and no lunch or meals are provided.
You are touring in a hot climate wear comfortable cool attire. Shorts and t shirt or similar clothing are good for this tour. Rain is possible at any time of the year but more likely during the rainy season months of May to October - bring a light weight rain coat during these months. There are only short brief walks on this tour and sandal type footwear is OK.
On this tour you will be visiting Buddhist temples. Respectful dress is always appreciated. For dress we suggest the following:
Please wear a shirt which covers the shoulders and reaches the waist (a t shirt will be fine!) For leg ware at least knee length shorts or skirt should be worn.

Accident insurance is provided to cover medical bills up to a maximum amount of 1,000,000 baht.
Free pick up and drop off is included to and from any Chiang Mai city hotel. Pick up from out of town resorts is not available.
